Putting a 4-6" lift kit on and only running 33's would kind of be a waste since you'll be lowering the front suspension ...
Here is a pic of my truck when i had a 33's on it.Ive only got keys up front ..

ball joint spacer

Never heard of running ball joint spacers on one of these trucks and don't reccomend it. Just crank it up a couple of inches and a 3" block in the rear to replace the 2" one. If your goin higher than a couple inches your gunna need to go with a actual lift kit

Check out Cognito Motorsports, they have all sorts of "level" and lift kits. Plus all the steering upgrades you will need once you crank the torsion bars.

If all you want to do is run 33"s this is what I would do.
Crank the stock torsion keys all the way up.
Get slightly longer shocks or longer brackets so they don't top out.
Get the Cognito Idler/Pitman arm brace.

Then lift the back to match the front height.
Off road designs makes a 1" zero rate add a leaf. it is basically a 1" spacer that bolts to the bottom of your leaf pack...they sell for like $40 bucks and come with new longer center pins.

What I just described is EXACTLY what I did on my truck and i've been driving on 33"s for 70k trouble free miles.

If you want to go higher than that, your going to need a lift kit.

so i figured it all out and did it, i cranked up the torsion 2 inches, and took out the old blocks and u bolts, and used a 2x4 and longer u joints. i ended up getting 1.75 in the rear and 2 inches in the front. rides well and everything is at a decent angle. plus now i can throw on the 33's and have fun. thanks for the help guys, cuz id be lost if i didnt have any help/
the only question i have left is, with cai, and dual exhaust do i need to regear for the 33s (lt285 65 r16's)

haha i know, its just a temporary deal till i get the actual blocks in the mail. i just couldnt wait any more. ive had the long shackles on there for too long just waiting and at least now i can test it out to see if i like the height. and im not drivin anywhere with the truck for a while, so i dont have to worry. i just cant wait for the freakin blocks any more. do you guysknow if there is there any tricks to ease out the center bolt? i ended up cutting 1 off to get it out so i had to get a new one.

Center bolt for the keys? I had to torch my keys off. I got the bolt out but they wouldnt come off the torsion bar even with an air hammer.
