Default lift with ford keys

i think i have narrowed it down on what i want to do with the truck. im thinking of the skyjacker 3in suspension with the ford keys. ive decided i dont want to go to big since this is a dd truck and i want to keep the tire size not to big to help with the gas mileage. so how would this set up fair? thought opions...

I get decent mileage with a 6" fabtec and 35's, 13 city about 15.5 hwy, as long as you re gear it you get most of your mileage back, also acceleration and towing, for 33's (Im guessing thats what you want to run) I would go with just a basic 4" lift and not crank the torsion bars to retain the nicer ride and tread wear. the ride isnt nearly as nice with jacked up keys, but other than that, it makes a good cheap lift.

if i do go this route i only plan to crank the keys a max of an in-in and half. would that affect the ride quality that much?

I would go with either a Rancho, or Superlift F.I.T. and leave it at 4 inches since the moeny spent would be about the same.

yea an inch to an inch and a half is about maxed out, and your ride will be stiffer, but its up to you. I know If I just paid top dollar for a truck I wouldnt cheap out for the lift you know what I mean

huh, your doing a 3in lift, and only cranking the front an inch to 1 1/2? that would look a little silly since the *** end sits higher anyway. It is difficult to get a cheap lift and a nice ride, I had a 2500 with 1500 keys, (the equilvant of you using ford keys) and the ride got rougher, but after a while you get used to it.
