What is the "trimming" that people talk about? What are you trimming?

Depending on the size of the tires or the offset of the wheel will also depend on what you trim. In my case I would have to trim the front bottom corner of the bumper in other cases the air dam if your truck is equiped with one. Since I'm going pretty big I also have to trim the bottom of the back fender, a little bit of sheet metal between the lip of the fender and where you would mount the nerf bars or running boards. Hope this helps.

So you actually have to trim metal panels. my 04 has the front air dam. Interesting.

Well like I said I do because I'm going to be running 36x15.5x20 on a 10 inch wheel with a 25mm offset. I have a 6 inch lift or 4-3/4" some say with ford keys so in order to tuck does baby's in those fenders I have to do some trimming. In my case the trimming will not be seen because I'm planning on putting some bushwaker pocket fenders.
