Default Help - Tire Size

Wsup Fellaz. First time posting here and I hope in the right section. I usuallly post on the F-Body site but it's time for me to make a few changes to the Truck. Got an 05 Tahoe Ducks Unlimited. The truck is currently sit'n on 20x9.5 with 285/50/20's and I'm stepping up to a 22x9.5. The problem is I want to stick with the same tire height and go as wide as I can with out any safety issues but I have no idea what size I need. I would really appreciate any help you guys could give me and I look forward to posting here more often. Thanks
Frank

Wsup bro. Located in Manassas Virginia. When I'm not tied down by work & family I usually try to hang out with the f-body gang but figured I'd try the Truck/SUV scene for a while. I also put up a post in the NEW MEMBER SECTION to introduce myself so stop by. My biggest concern with the tire issue is not steppin down to a low profile tire. I really want to keep the same amount of meat/height as I have on there now but just as wide as I can go before encountering any problems. BTW...Good look'n Black Silverado you got there in your sig.

a 305 will be putting it close to rubbing but should be ok and is deff alot of meat under it. Ah the old ss is not too bad i guess. It lived in Annandale for about 6 months or so. Thats where my girlfriend's family lives.
