Default Going up, and going down...

Alright, I just installed a 6" Fabtech lift on my 2001 F150. The only problem with this, is that I need to remove the 3" body lift that is on there now. I dont plan on running any bigger tire than what I have now (35 BFG ATs). My question to y'all is what would be the best way of taking off the body lift? The bed should not be too big of a deal, more specifically, I need to know what is the best way to down size the body mount spacers form 3" piece to a stock piece (Daystar polyureathane). Any tips or stories would be awsome. Thanks guys.

there shouldnt have been any spacers orginally, it should just be cab mounts, and i think they stay on even when you put the body lift on dont they? if your gonna have em off you might as well do the daystars, they should be bout $80 for i think yours is probably 6 unless you have an extended cab in which case it should be 8, not sure with fords though

the only thing you might run into is the steering shaft might need adjusted and you will need the stock length cab mount bolts. like beast said on a body lift you just stack the body lift on the stock mounts and put longer bolts in. other than that you just need to unbolt and drop it down.

yea everything should jsut be an extension

ex. if you have a floor shifter, you got a 3" extension for it, in which case you just take it off and bolt it back up like normal

i know there was a piece with the steering column to that like i said you just take out and bolt back up. couple other little brackets to... ebrake relocater bracket, radiator shroud relocater brackets, couple other little things to

Oh I never cut and welder the floor shifter (4x4) I just left a little shorter. THe main concern I had was going from the 3" body lift spacer, to a factory hight spacer. I got the Daystar kit, and will get some tempered bolts from the local bolt and nut place (no way in hell I am paying over a hundred bucks for a few screws from the dealer). I will keep you posted, we are installing the 6" Fabtech, and are almost done. We had a delay, because we went ahead and replace the ball joints while we had her stripped own.
