Default gearing questions

hey everyone thought id post up here before the rest of my parts come in. im no expert to gearing but ive helped do it a few times before and am attempting to do it on my own for the first time. my g80 exploded pretty bad and ended up taking out my gearset, g2 warrantied my gears and bought a g80 for the time being, thankfully bought a low mile unit off a pt.net member and as soon as it comes in time for assembly.

my questions are since i am going with the same carrier and gearset should i be pretty close within my .008 BL from the time before? or could it be pretty far off? luckily ive still got my oe bearings we converted into setup bearings but i figured id ask beforehand. i dont know wether to expect it to fit the same or be pretty far off

thanks

TJ

Only way to really know is assemble it and check the gear depth and the pattern.

Im not goin to mention how mine looked or setup when i did the pinion bearings on 275k mile gear set. ..

the pattern of the pinion to the ring was almost 100% instead of the pattern being in the very center of each. and theres metal flowing on the outer edge of the ring gear..

had a lil metal in the oil
