LOL.... yes, I'm the moron who bent the bejeesus outta my frame right over the axle.... wasnt the hitches fault. Plain old operator dumbassness. I was hauling CCLB 4x4 duramax dually on a car hauler and went through a big sharp dip in the road and the next time I looked in the mirror I knew something didnt look right

-too much air in the bags
-bag kit that was intended for a 3/4 ton to begin with
-hauling something I had no business hauling
-waay too much tongue weight.
-frame shop bill LOL

How long are the legs that mount to the frame? The one on my Tahoe is only 11" long. Seems short compared to the rest of the frame back there. When I do the Dmax swap I would like to be able to tow a bit more with out worry. Not saying 20,000lbs here just a bit more than stock ratings from time to time. I'm going 8 lug all around with 2500 brakes and 11.5" rear. I already have hydro boost but will be using the 2500 master because it has a bigger piston. So the drive train and breaking will be there just worried about frame strength.

Bout 6", you can see in the installed pic where the stock hitch mounted and where the new hitch mounts in an existing hole further towards the front of the truck.

Just for clarification: you're saying that it's six inches longer than the factory piece?
