Wait. Wut?

 

It was a pretty straight forward statement.

 

Some people have a pre-concived and improperly informed idea that I don't build enough strength in what I create. We don't need to litter this thread with all the bickering. If you want to argue for or against the need to upgrade the hitch then it belongs here. If it doesn't have anything to do with that then don't ruin another thread.

 

I have not added any pre conceived ideas or argued about anything in this thread. So, anyway ... I think its a mighty fine looking hitch Cody and I applaud your forward planning.

 

i absoluletly love towing with a weight distribution hitch, it makes it much more smoother!!
if you set it up right your rear suspension shouldnt have to work much at all, it distributes the weight over the whole vechicle.

I think you have a spending addiction and have no real business with a hitch rated for that much weight. Stock is best!!

 

That is a well made , good looking Hitch Cody, Ive never had an issue like you guys with the stock hitch, but this opens my eyes to possibly upgrading the unit on my Dmax, But i def . want one of the folding B&W Tow and stow's !!!

I leave my hitch in my reciever always, it saved me one time i got rear ended in my Dmax, a kid was texting and driving a ford van and didnt see me stopped at the red light, he slammed me, bent my factory hitch a lil, and dented my bumper, no frame or bed damage, but the front of his van was fucked up!!!!

So always leave your hitch in!!

BTW I like the way the reciever is tucked tighter to the bumper, nice

 

I've seen that happen too, however, a hitch in the receiver does disable much of the pre-engineered crumple zone and many localities ban the presence of a hitch in a receiver while not in use. I'm all about protecting your truck, just wanted to give you the heads-up.

 

Yeah i know its prob against the law to leave it in, but i take my chances, gotta protect my backside lol.
