Default 8.5 diff into 8.6, what’s needed.

Hey guys, searched the forum. I’ve got a new in box locker for an ‘89 c1500 project. I’ve seen you can use that on my 2002 Sierra 1500 while I add 4.10s to it. Do I need anything else to do that? Install kit needs to be for....the 8.5” even though it’s going into the 8.6”?

I think the only difference is the carrier bearings.

madmann is correct. If you call or email Randys Differential they'll fix you up with the correct bearings for your setup.
