if the matco will work for what ya need go for it, i personally will never buy anything matco again, the dealer at the time ran my card for the ballance i owed (which i autherized) and then added another 150 to it so he stole 150 from me and i talked to the dm they didnt do a dam thing about it. and the time and money i woulda spent taking to court i woulda been out even more $. there is a new guy on this route but he is best friends with the other guy who owns the new guys truck so the hell with matco. i didnt have a bunch of stuff from them at the time but i didnt care for the stuff i had from them.

Damn that sucks man. Our Matco dealer is a real good guy. He's more pricey that Mac and Cornwell but he does some great deals. We don't get a snap on truck at our shop

Sockets, Ratchets, Torque Wrenches. Pliers. Wrenches. Air/Batt Tools. Special tools/Torex Drivers. this is only a few of the drawers but i have a bunch of other tools, pullers, hammers, prybars, special repair tools, testers. have a screwdriver drawer, picks, trim tool drawer. chisle/air hammer bits drawer.list goes on. i have around 30-35k invested probially more. last time i checked a couple years ago i was at 24k. i have a crappy phone so i have to send to facebook, then save, then upload. Ikeep a couple cheap set of wrenchs and popular size cheap sockets around so if i have to modify something for it to work im not destroying my good stuff.

Some Cummins fun at work! I figured since this is my "tool box at work" thread i'd figure i'd go ahead and post up some fun stuff that goes on. Truck came in with a check engine light, egr valve completely stuck closed (im guessing a bearing seized or something internally), tried to regen it but wouldnt get hot enough and noticed the turbo wasnt putting out enough cubic feet of air per minute. pulled the intake line off of the turbo and found oil and also notice the center section and number 5 cylinder had an exhaust leak from the manifold.

I had removed the turbo (DUH) and manifold was off ready for new gaskets

Bad pic but you can see the oil going into the charge air cooler.

I didn't finish the job tonight but was my fastest time for draining the coolant, removing turbo and removing and reinstalling manifold gaskets.. A little over an hour and 45 minutes. Gotta swap over all the stuff from the old turbo to the new one and calibrate the vgt actuator. This is probably my favorite stuff to do at work.. much better than doing clutches and transmissions.

After I took these pics I noticed the pinion gear also had a few pieces missing.
