Poor duramax gave her life trying though. Man that sucks my worst fear ever has been having a truck stolen. Too bad there isn't a fuel pump on a duramax to interrupt power to. Best you could do on them is to kill power to the FICM with a toggle switch. Shoots you in the foot if you have remote start though and use it.

Oops misread on my part. What part of texas did they wind up finding your truck in. There was a "high speed" chase near seguin over the weekend that was around the area where my inlaws live. Bunch of illegals tried to run but didn't make it far.

Got it back . . . still waiting on the chase vids
It's scratched on every panel, front to back
Tail gate was backed into, while it was down
Tool box is gone
One cutout has the gear box stripped, so it stays halfway open
Headers leaking at the gaskets
and the back seat was missing
Dumbass me, left a Mossburger 12g shot gun behind the back seat and forgot about it
Drivers side door handle, screwed up
Steering column tumbler all hammered up
and the door dinger is screwed up, to just puts off static in the radio, . . . really annoying . . . really need to figure out that one.
So in the end, it was totaled out, and I bought it back. It's drivable now, but only after completely steam cleaning the entire inside, carpet and insulation. I had to take out every single interior panel out, and the front seats, and center console . . . wiped down everything . . . and aired it out for a week with the windows down and 2 fans running full blast.
Found a matching back seat at a junk yard, bought a new tumbler, new door handle, steering wheel plastics,
Runs and drives good so far. I have no intentions of getting it painted at the moment. Just driving the **** out of it for now.
Plans are to part out all of the goodies on it, and leave it alone.
