Default Should I do this?

So I picked up a 1991 GMC Z71, and now have a line on a rusted frame 2004 2500HD. Figured I'd pick up the 04 for 2,000 and swap the motor and trans into the 91 Z and part the rest of the truck out. Funds are tight right now but I can swing it. So opinions? Should I pick up the 04 and swap everything then part it out or just hold out for a 6.0/4l80e pullout.

I would get it and part it out. You will spend almost 2k on a 6.0 and 4l80e pullout. Were if you buy the truck and part it out you can make the majority of your money back.

That's the same thing I was thinking but I've been on a buying spree since I came home from overseas. Lots of guns, a Corvette, now a truck lol. My wife probably thinks I'm nuts.

I'm bored so I'm going to reply to my own question but I realize it has been that long. Since I've joined this site when I was 16 I've graduated high school, college, spent 6 years in the Marines, one deployment, engaged broke it off, now married and countless numbers of vehicles, mods and $$$.

Welcome back and sounds like you've had quite an adventure in life. I joined this site and ls1tech when I was 17 and im now 22. Pretty cool looking back at what I had no idea about and what I can do now.
