Default Rookie mistakes...4.8 torn down to bare block

Long story short. Tore apart a 4.8 going to get new cam bearings, main bearing, honed and re-ringed. Where I believe I messed up is I didn't label the rod caps nor did I put them back on the same rods I took them off of. Any way to identify them or am I screwed?

Outside of stamping/marking them, I don't think so. You'll need the mains lined honed and the rods/caps machined so they all match.

Theyre broken rods so they need to go back with their mate...... Close enough wont cut it on those.... You could actually take the cap and match it to the rod by putting them together and of the line between them all but disappers you should be good.... Lessons learned!!! Weve all been there!!!
