Default No more separate inspection sticker for Texas

So they got rid of the separate inspection sticker, so now there will just be 1 sticker on the windshield (registration).

That being said, between 2015 and 2016, if your inspection expires AFTER the registration, you can renew for the following year without a new inspection.

Really with they had 2 year registration/inspection like MO. Whole process is annoying.

I think ive heard that you still need to get inspected before you get a registration sticker though. If it doesnt pass inspection you dont get registration

Yes, if your inspection is due on or before your current registration, then you have to get a new inspection to get registered for THIS year. If your inspections is due AFTER your registration this year, then you don't have to get a new inspection until you get your registration for NEXT year (in 2016) so it will actually get you more then a year on your inspection.

After that, your inspection and registration will be due the same month and you will have to have gotten a new inspection no more then 3 months prior to your registration.
