Yea forsure, I have about 6 months oilfield experiance. Looking to go back. I'm going to apply on the majors websites here in a couple weeks and see If I get any nibbles. Btw thanks for all the kind words. It sure seems like I'm making the right choice. Bakersfield is a great but California just hates all the things I like. Hunting, fishing, driving big trucks every year it's gets harder and harder and a he'll of a lot more expensive.

Oh yea those are my hobbies basically but with the new rules regulations and the ever increasing fees's for liscense and tags etc.. It's not worth it anymore. Plus with the way the seasons are set up the chances of me getting a big ole goodin are not very good. Hot weather? Yea it gets pretty warm here. About 110-100 in the summer but that's with no humidity. So the humidity will be a shocker for awhile. But my area I live at is basically a desert haha.

I have relatives that have all moved to the lake conroe area(north of houston),It seems really nice and housing is very affordable.Although I think the general wage is less than most other parts of the country, but so is the cost of living.I really love the area and have visited a lot and would love to move but I am in the steel industry and there doesn't seem to be much work in my field there.I do plan to retire in that area though!
