So I might have written off Valentines day. Me and my gf just had our 1 year "anniversary" on February 8. I bought her flowers and took her to a VERY nice place to eat (Bill was $160 for the two of us ). So last night rolls around (Feb 14) and she comes over and cooks me some salmon.....she brings me a card. I didnt tell her anything like "happy valentines day," or get her a card or flowers. She wasnt very happy. To top that I somehow got poison ivy this week on my face and my....uh...yeah so there was no romance happening either.

We went to a party last night and i guess she heard all of the girls talking about what their guys did for them.....so she is pissed and its been after a few beers and the drama begins... I stay up til 5:30 this morning talking to her and telling her what an idiot I am for thinking that anniversary=valentines too. Assumptions will kill a bitch! I know that a million cards, a million flowers, and a million cards, etc will not fix this ****.

So the moral of the story is: dont write off valentines less you end up in the doghouse.

Gimme some ideas to get outta this caca! I beleive this is the last time i write off valentines day.

Uhhhhhh.....no. lol. There will be none of that for quite some time. We both dont want that right now. She stressed that it wasnt material...but it was. I'm sooo confused. She just wanted to know I cared on a Hallmark Holiday. **** my life!

 

Eh **** happens, she needs to udnerstand men are in herently morons when it comes to the whole courtship thing. Ive got a female friend who says Valentines Day is a stupid holiday, it shouldnt be just a special day to mbe nice to your SO, but I think it may have to do with the fact she didnt have a Valentines

Man, I buy my Fiance flowers at least once a month... I usually get them from Krogers and they are actually nice and they are only $10-$15.. It absolutely makes her day... So 10-15 a month and I get to do the things I want... Flowers sound stupid for us guys but for girls it is a BIG thing... IMO you don't have to understand it, just do it... That is my advice and after 3.5 years we have had no real problems at all...

 

My anniversary is Feb 5, so not too far from V-day either. I dropped about $150 on an anniversary dinner, but didn't do anything for V-day. I think she might be upset, but she hasn't said anything. She says it's about the little things though, just a card or a note or something, which isn't a big deal. We'll see what happens, lol.

 

Time for a new GF to give you another chance ahhahhahahaaa

 

I just don't care.... I know that makes me an *******, but she also doesn't sitting around bitching either. I take her to do nice stuff when I have time and don't worry about what day it is. I got her a card and a thing of candy, saw her for all of 5-10 minutes yesterday. Stay away from needy women, if they're already a pain in the ***, it's not going to get any easier....

 

Get some cream for the poison ivy and give her the thunder She will shut up about your 'mistake' when she gets some lovin and buy some cheap flowers too
