looking for a reputable shop in houston. prefferably in pasadena to rebuild this 5.3 ive had for a while. would they add in the necessary stuff? i only have the block,crank and stock cam. i just need to build it back to stock. any ideas guys? thanks.

 

They are in Houston, but people I know use HKE.

 

A rebuild on that 5.3 will probably be pricey. I would just look for a good used 5.3 to drop in, sell the original block to recoup some $$.

 

yea thats what i have done. found a complete 5.3 for 2k

 

2k for a 5.3, wut? Was it at least an L33?

 

The shop I use is in Willis, but I have heard good things about HKE.

 

I also happen to have a 5.3 for sale... We just pulled it out today.

you can say. was recently rebuilt with some headwork, 224 cam, new studs and all that jazz

 

That's cool then... I thought we were talkin about stock take outs. lol. You should really like that cam in the 5.3!
