Default Drive shaft sent off, and they call me today...

So, I used a truck drive shaft shop in dallas(truck parts specialist) to balance my stock DS a while back. They installed spicer "XL" u-joints in it, and was supposed to balance it. Well after I got it back and put it in, I had a vibration. long story short, I had a "built" DS break that was from FT worth gear and axle, and just got my truck back on the road. I noticed the vibration was still in the DS, so I shipped it off to Texas DS specialist in san antonio. They called me today and said it is bent where the dallas shop had bent the "ears" on the ends putting the u-joints in. Something I was trying to keep from, thats why I paid someone else to do it. Good news, u-joints are in great new shape. bad news is they have to straighten it, and then do a high speed balance or "run out" on it. These guys said that it wasnt even balanced! SO....I am getting it straight, and balanced up to 200mph, or 6000rpm. should be less than $100 including the $40 to ship it. I hope this will take care of my DS problems. DON'T trust a TRUCK DS shop to take care of your hotrod needs! Makes me mad that I spent well over the cost of a real Built(aluminum or steel) DS that would hold 1000hp+. If these guys turn out a great product, I will be recommending them to any stock DS guy, or anyone who needs one built. driveshaftspecialist dot com

yes, I can already see that in the phone calls I have gotten. The guy called me this morn, and said one of the new u joints I had installed was bad after he tryed to high speed balance it, so I didnt get out as good as I could have. So new u-joints, and it should be 100%.
