Default DFW Shops who can install and dial in ecu to accept EFans on 2000 Silverado

ecu-not eco lulz

Anyone know of any shops in Dallas that can install efans, and dial them in via hptuners or ls1edit?

I've got oem fans out of a 2005 Avalanche and a BB harness to go with it. I called Quality motorsports, they wanted two hours to install (which im fine with)...but then wanted $300 to tune them in...thats how much i was quoted for a full street tune elsewhere

any suggestions?

Why not just get a mail order tune from BBP or somebody. They usually set up the Efans by default.

Then just install the fans. Its two bolts and 4 wires to hook up.

Do you already have a 34" radiator or your 28" stocker?

If you dont already have the 34" then the 2005+ Efans arent gonna fit.

Is the measurement taken on just the fins or overall outside to outside at the side tanks? Mine is 34" overall & just over 28" on just the fins.

Yours is the 28".. You will know by the bolt holes on the support.. The outside two are for the 34" radiator. the inside two are for the 28" radiator.
If you use a 34" radiator then the 2005+Efans bolt to where the factory 28" radiator bolted to.

Thanks. I saw a 34" radiator + e-fans on cl a couple days ago for $350 & passed on it since I thought I had the 34" radiator & only needed the e-fans.

good advice, I think this might be the way to go. If I buy HP Tuners, can i program them in or does it have to be done with LS1edit?

According to this Nelson Performance page, Nelson Performance - Contact Us , it is only $35 to program the ECM to operate the fans. Dunno if the $35 applies only if you buy a harness or can do JUST the fan program for $35.
