cant find more write up threads on this.
i have radio part number 15196055. 6 disc changer it has a button for aux/cd. which at the moment only goes to cd to tuner. no tape player at all. it does have the second connector in the back were the amp/cd changer went on older
i want to add the aux mod i have found my radio on ebay and stuff already modded. Would like more direction before i crack it open.

ebay has them too.

ive seen other "adapters" 50-150 bucks that i believe tap into the extra connector. i am only interested in the cheap aux input modification.

This way DOES work!!

@Don - thank you! I used the original thread author's instructions to dismantle the deck, but no way was I going to attempt soldering the board. I used wires 5 and 7 as you described and it works PERFECTLY. Thanks again.

More Help Please

Have an 04 GMC Sierra I want to do this to but prefer using CD inputs instead of Tape since there's already a functioning CD stuck in it plus I don't trust my soldering enough to tackle the delicate board. I'll use #5 & 7 as described in Don's solution but on the CD cable instead. Is #5 OR 7 the RIGHT channel? I know... the other is the LEFT channel.
