Tried it in a 07 classic. Didn't work. Installed the stepper motor and the bulb. Bulb lights up but no action from the stepper motor.

If you've gone that far just stop by the dealer and have them do it. Luckily I have a dealer who charges me real time, not the minimum 1hr. at $100/hr.

just wondering how do you reprogram the miles on a new clusters that read 0 miles

The dealer has to do it. Or some one with a tech 2.

Take old cluster out, install new motor and needle. Then take it to gm for a reprogram, sounds like then adding a separate gauge all together.

yes, that is exactly what you're doing.

If it didn't require a tech II, it'd be cheap. That's the hang-up really. The good part is it looks cleaner than anything aftermarket since it's integrated.
