Default Would this be a good setup?

I know nothing about audio, but i did a bunch of reading on here, and crutchfields site about how much power to run to speakers...subs etc...its for a 01 ECSB

So would the items i link be a good setup/match? I just want a nice clean sound, with a lil bass/be able to feel a lil thump, but certainly dont wanna shake the truck or neighborhood apart...just for it to sound really good when cranked up

I dont want to run 2 amps, and im trying to keep this on a budget. Just gonna get front speakers, and a small amp/sub. I figured my best opttion was a 4channel amp, and bridge it for the sub.

Pioneer GM-D9500F (gmd9500f) 800W Max, Class FD 4-Channel
JL Audio 10W0v2-4 10" W0v2 Single 4 ohm Car Subwoofer
Kicker KS6.2 (11KS6.2) 6" 2-way Component Speakers System
99-06 GM Extended Cab Ultra Deep Single 10/12 Downfire Box

Im a total newb to audio, i tried to do as much research as i can so i wouldn't ask 10 million questions...Will i need an amp wiring kit or do they provide it?

any and all advice is appreciated, i didn't see many options for having a good match between that amp and speakers and a sub....

For a budget build it looks like you have everything you need. For some one that is a noob in audio and did their own research you did good.

Me personally I would steer clear of the kicker components you picked. If there is any way you can put a little more money to get a little bit higher end set of speakers you won't be disapointed.

I would think about these before going with the kickers you pointed out.

JL Audio TR650-CSi (tr650csi) 6-1/2" Evolution TR Series 2-way

JL Audio C2-650 6-1/2" Component Speakers System (C2650)
I have personally heard the C2 series speakers from JL and they sound great! If I needed a set of speakers in the $200 price range these would probably be in my shopping basket.

The amp and sub that you picked out will work just fine! As far as the amp wiring kit you will need to pick one up. Pick up one that will support 800 watts of power (probably a 4ga wire kit) and make sure you also have a fuse holder (it may be included in the kit) and put the fuse as close to the battery as possible.

i would just run the front speakers off your stereo if you purchase them from crutchfield you will get special connectors so no soldering is needed

Check these out: Alpine - Type-G Speakers - SPG-17C2

that amp can push 200 watt rms for each sub (bridged) at 4ohms and the subs can handle 300watts rms a piece. which would be good for a safe sound system. but i would go for a 2 channel amp if you plan on just running the subs on an amp.

I planned on running my front speakers, and a sub off one amp. I was going to get some components and amp them, because that should sound a lot better than coax's off the headunit...right...

So I'm sorta confused about what speakers to get still. Crutchfield recommends powering your speakers with 75-100% power to make them sound good, closer to 100 the better.

Those JL C2's can only handle 60 though, that seems kinda low for a pricey speaker doesnt it? That amp will do 75rms per speaker. I'm looking at those, and the Infinity speakers.

Infinity 6-1/2" 2-way Kappa Perfect Component System
and
Infinity 60.9cs 6-1/2" 2-way Kappa Series Component Speakers

Aren't kappa perfects supposed to be better? They are cheaper so i thought id ask.

Any recommendation out of those three, it seems like JL and Infinity get the highest remarks, especially JL. I just want to make sure those C2's aren't gonna be overpowered or any problems pushing them at 75rms when they are rated at 60???

Yes you are correct. For the BEST sound that is the ONLY way to go.

You will be fine. You won't have to run the gain as high on the amp. And as long has you have them crossed over correctly and they aren't distorting you will be ok. Dont choose speakers strictly on RMS or Peak ratings. Thoughs ratings can be vague at best. Plus having an amp that will slightly over power your speakers will result in better sound. (as long as things are setup correctly). As an example you can find $80 speakers that are rated at 150w rms. Does that mean they can handle 150w with no problem?......no not at all.

Kappa Perfects are a good speaker as well. I have had several friends in the past that have owned some and they were happy with their performance. The closest thing I have owned to a Kappa Perfect are from Infinity's sister company JBL. The JBL Power series is what I had and I really liked them.

Hands down JL C2's.
Just because an amp can put out 75rms doesn't mean as soon as it turns on its putting out 75rms. At lower volumes it is only going to put out 1-2 watts anyways. Its all in how you treat them. If you turn them up and they start distorting they will eventually blow up (just like any other speaker that is distorting). Also just because a speaker has a lower wattage rating than another speaker does not mean it won't play as loud as a higher rated speaker. There are several other factors that can play into how loud a speaker will play.
