Okay, the black wire is grounded and plugs into a relay. The relay has a black wire with a fuse fastened to metal. Does that mean I can use the black wire from the pump wiring as a ground, or have to run a new ground.

where is the red wire going to? It looks as if the black is ran to pin 30 on the relay.
