I love my infinitys. I have reference components in my front doors for right now and theyre pretty good, buddy of mine just got a set of kappa perfects for his front doors and kappas for his backs, all component, paid under 400 for all 4, they sound REALLY nice...

keep an eye on the car audio forum classifieds, might come across a used set of kick *** speakers for a deal. I got a set of focal limited editions for reallllllly cheap that way, dude bought them and only used them for mock up and ended up getting rainbows and sold me the focals for a good price

I stay in the classifieds and craigslist. I am not in a huge hurry, as the BOSE sounds, meh, alright. I refuse to pay retail on most things. Just had a truck issue come up, so it might be a while. It makes for an awful story, you can read it in the GMT900 under P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire.

Hopefully it isn't too serious so I still have stereo money left...

I've been out of the stereo game a while and have questions. I bought a 2007 Denali w/Bose and Navigation. What do I need to add an amp and sub? Will the PAC GM1416 work?

I asked around and I am 99% sure it will work, since it is before the BOSE amp. I have not gotten a clear answer here, but I am sure it will work. For $35 it is worth a shot huh?

Yeah, for $35 I'll probably just get one and see for myself. Do you know what it would take to replace the speakers in the doors?

Crutchfield says 6.5. My guess is that it is some off size and you will have to use the door pods as some kind of mount... Let us know what you find out.

I was doing some research because I want to add an amp to my stock BOSE system in my truck too. But I got this email from PAC:
Sorry, the AOEM-GM1416 is not compatible with a premium bose system that the Deanli came with. Your only option would be a universal line output converter like the SNI-50A.

Was wondering if any of you folks had any success with the GM 1416?

Did you end up doing this? Im thinking about buying this one
Pac Aoem-Gm1416 (Add An Amplifier) [ For Gm 2006-2011 And Newer Vehicles] - PAC - AOEM-GM1416
and trying it out. My bose system sounds alright, just needs a little more *** behind it and itll be perfect.

Haven't thoroughly read through the entire thread, but as someone who has dealt with a lot of audio, I can tell you that spending money trying to make Bose products sound good is like spending thousands trying to make a push scooter fast. In all seriousness, you can get a setup that will blow Bose away for the same cost. Bose head units and speakers can't hold a candle to most aftermarket equipment, price-wise or performance-wise. I remember a good while back, I typed up a good explanation of what all was needed to take care of your issue, but I'll have to search up and find the thread. If I get the information, I'll post it up.
