I got my dad a new backup camera mirror for Father's Day but forgot his 05 Tahoe has the combo onstar and passenger side airbag mirror. I know he'll lose onstar but he doesn't want that. Will he run into problems with the airbag if he swaps in the new mirror or is that just an indicator of it being on or off?

 

It will throw a code for the air bag indicator circuit, may want to consider a head unit with a backup camera or an additional screen...
