Default Want to add factory USB

To my 09' sierra Denali . Is it as simple as just buying a factory USB harness ?

My truck has factory nav , just wondered if I bought the parts if it would hook up ?

If so anyone know the parts needed ? Reflash of radio needed ?

Thanks!

I know I can buy an aftermarket adaptor to add a USB , but would like to do it with factory parts if possible.

Sorry, just saw your post. First you'll need to find out if your radio has a usb port on the back. My base model radio didnt, so I a swapped it with an LTZ radio and added the cable and receptacle. I had to flash the new radio with my Vin so it knew where it was, but if you have the USB port already that shouldn't be needed.

I used receptacle# 20944422 and cable# 22829189. VIN?

I can check but it may also help ID which cable and receptacle you should use. They have different lengths depending on dash configuration.

Looking back I wish I had just routed the usb cable to the glove box or a dash cubby because I use a usb stick loaded with music and last weekend my 3yr old daughter broke it off the front of the dash getting out. Just food for thought.
