I have an 05 ecsb Z-71. It has less than 12000 miles on it and im having a problem with my lights flickering and voltage jumping between 12 and 16 volts at cruise on the interstate. I was thinking I have a bad altermator and I took it to the dealership and they gave me some bs about 05's being equipped with a regulator that shuts off the alt. to improve gas milage and that I shouldnt worry about it.
The problem persists. What do you guys think? Take it to another dealer?

Nope my trucks is bone stock. The bose is plenty for me. Its really bad sometimes worse than others. I have a friend who rode behind me one night and asked why I drove with my hazards on. I think Im just going to take it to another dealer. I took it in to the dealer to get my head unit replaced and the one the gave me, half the lights work. They told me they would call me in a week and that was over two months ago. Sad to say but they are one of the biggest delaerships in my area.
