Default Upgrading Bose stereo

I am looking for some info on upgrading my factory Bose/NAV stereo system on an 04 Escalade ESV.

I am going to do new speakers all around with amps and 1 sub in a custom rear side panel. I like the factory headunit, with NAV, XM, OnStar, etc integrated to the vehicle it fits my needs.

My question is, what is the best way to get an audio signal to a sound processor or amplifier? I know that JL and others make various products, but would like to hear any suggestions. I'm going to run Focal components so reference is a priority.

I am also looking for a device to play an external video source on the factory screen. I have heard of TV on Nav and Nav TV but don't have any experience there either.

Thanks!
