Default Truck surging...

I don't post much, more of a lurker, but do have a question someone might be able to answer without having to call the installer tomorrow.

So, just got back from the installer. 2 JL Audio W7 10's and a JL Audio 500 amp. Sounds AWESOME! Makes my brain feel like IT too was vibrating.

So my head lights dim everytime the bass hits, understandable...

Dash lights dim, understandable...

But, the truck surges everytime the bass hits as well...??? You can see the tach bounce up and down...

NO CLUE here. Anyone enlighten me?

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking at the threads, and I haven't come across anything. Maybe I can bug someone for you.

Thanks for this!

Question: If the amp is drawing to much current, would that also cause the engine to surge?

Thanks again!

Yes... That's what it said on the link Eric sent you. Read up on Automotive Capacitors. Eric said that he'd recommend One Ferad. Google automotive capacitors.
