Well thought i would give you guys an update since the "My new toy" thread. I have one treo ssi 12" for those of you that dont know and have a second one on the way. But i couldnt wait so i turned my dual 12" sealed box into a single 12" ported to see what the one ssi would do.....man it SLAMS, much harder than the two type R's i had.

One treo ssi 12" in a roughly 2 cu.ft. ported box tuned to 28hz on a rockford t1000.1bd at 2 ohms hit a 141.1 db at the kicks Needless to say i am very impressed and cant wait to get the second one and see what two sealed will do. Anyway thats all i got for now. will let you know when the second one comes in.....

well the guy i just bought the second ssi off of refunded my money because he put the drill through the surround

now i am entertaining the thought of doing a single ssx ported.....who knows, would like to get a little deeper into the 140's on a single 12".....

 

damn that blows..an ssx would be nice. Going to need a nice amp to power it though.

 

will prolly get another rockford t1000.1bd and strap em' since i already have one.....

 

ya that would be nice. what kind of door speakers do you have?

 

runnin viper audio 6.75" components with the woofers in the doors and the tweets in the kicks......will be powering them with a rockford t3002 by next week.....lots of stuff in the works right now

you got the room for the depth of an SSX? i used to run 2 ssx 15's. at the tail end before i switched them out i had an autotek mx 5000 on each coil. nice street pounding sub, just a little loud, but not much

 

Plenty of depth between the seats I am going between a Treo ssx, Mach 5 SPL, AudioQue HDC3, and a DD 9512......will be giving which ever one about 3k watts.......I.....AM......EXCITED......
