have an 03 2500HD ccsb without steering wheel controls , can they be added and what parts do I need? has almost every other option besides leather. thanks

 

i was thinking about this too, what i came up with that may work is, get the 04 steering wheel with the harness, and buy an aftermartket radio with the steering wheel harness adapter, and boom hopefully you will have steering wheel controls and a brand new radio, but then again idk if its that easy

 

i think the steering wheel harness adapter for that truck is like $120...good luck...post pics if you do...sounds interesting

 

I sell gm clusters and have had some people in the past successfully do this, and some have not. What we do is sell them a cluster loaded for steering wheel controls, then they buy the parts. I can remember off the top of my head 3 or so people have been successfull. One was not at first, but I think he later got it to work.

 

Change the steering wheel, and airbag clock spring. Then see if it will work. If not find a truck somewhere that has these options and get the VIN off of it. Then flash your bcm and IPC to that vin and you are in business done it more than once without any problems.
