How do you guys run the wire from the speaker to inside the door ??? do you take off the black rubber boot and run it, or leave it on and run it ???

I usually run my wires through the black rubber loom and boot. Some wire looms are too tight to fit extra wires. On thoughs I would still run the wires through the boot but pass on the outside of the wire loom. I would then run some sort of QUALITY electrical tape around the loom to hold the wire against the loom. Wraping in a helical motion. If you use crap electrical tape it won't last long and end up being a sticky mess in a matter of months. Good stuff (3M!!!) will last a LONG time and will have a clean look to it if done right. The reason I run mine through the grommet dispite if I can get it through the loom or not is to insure I dont' make any more holes that water can get through. It also holds the wires nicely out of the way so the can't get pinched.

EDIT: I usually have to pull the grommet (both sides) and run my wires through it then re-install the grommets to help with feeding the wires.
