Default removing door speakers

I attempted to remove the door panel, but can not figure it all out. I could not see how to unhook 2 thick plastic clips at the bottom of the door panel. I thought about just taking a razor and cutting the panel out larger around the speaker so it is easier to get to, since the cover will hide it. Anyone done this? I cut a small part out so I could see better and there are not screws in the speaker mount holes. Looks like some plastic deal is holding the speaker in. I picked up some Infinity speakers for free and thought they would sound better than the stock ones. Any help is appreciated.

You have to pull the lock position thing out, two screws from under the handle, the trianlge trim piece by the mirror, pull the switch panel up and disconnect the buttons, pull the trim piece around the pull handle out then lift up on the door handle and pull out and it will pop off. You dont want to mount it to the interior door panel.

theres another screw at the bottom of the door also. very easy to remove the door panels in the new trucks. the stock speakers just snap in. all you have to do is push the thing holding it in and it will fall right out

I was able to re-use the plastic bracket with my Eclipse speakers. Some small bolts & washers hold them together. It's nice, cuz they snap right in as before.

just be sure not to break or lose any of the clips on the door panel itself. also, make sure to pull out the light bulb on the inside of the panel.
