remote start on 04 silverado questions?

i installed it all, but my remote start isn't learning the tach signal. im on the white wire coming off from behind the gauges. is there another location for a tach signal? coils? injectors? computer?

The white wire from the gauges works fine on my 03 are you sure you have the settings correct on the remote start system... like set for a v8 tach signal?

If you are sure you have everything setup right and it just won't work here is another option.

There is a coil for each cylinder, each with a 4-pin plug. Each plug contains a BLACK, BROWN & PINK, as well as a 4th wire which changes color on each coil. This 4th wire can be used as your tach reference, set your remote starter for a 1 cylinder signal.

k, imma go read my options for the starter. maybe its not set up right. this is the same one ive had on my 91 and 95 camaros

i changed it to voltage sensing. it would now crank for a second then shut off. i thought the crank time was too low. so i set it to 2 seconds. still does the same thing. cranks with the ignition on, and sounds like its just about to start, then stops cranking. but the ignition stays on.
