Default rear door speakers?

i know that the rear door speakers are 4x6 but the company i am using doesnt make 4x6 speakers, has anyone put some 6.5" components in the bakc doors? pics would be appreciated on how they are mounted. i would like to leave the doors looking stock for resale if i do later. i was thinking of cuting the metal in the door for the speakers to fit.

I dont think it would be too hard to do, but i dont know how great it would sound bc the door would muffle the sound due to the fact that the hole in the door is only 4x6.

I put some 4x6s in my rear doors about a month ago and from what I remember I dont think you can fit 6.5"s in there easily cause of the framework on the door. Im not positive though

maybe some 5.25 comps but not 6.5's. just go with a company that makes some 4x6 plates would be the easiest route.

that would be closer. you will just have to pull the door down and measure how much you can cut b4 you run into the bottom of the window.

Diamond Audio M341I comes with a mounting plate to fit in a 4x6 slot. But I'd get D641A and just make your own mount. Just use a thin piece of MDF or plywood.
