Default Radio doesn't work when truck is moving

Hey guys I need help FAST! I just installed a new radio (Sony mex5000bt) in my 01 silverado, and after a bitch of a morning/afternoon and my uncle missing his flight due to helping me install it, I have the radio working. The problem is that as soon as I start moving, the radio stops playing and the lights go out. I have the red wire from my radio harness hooked up to the green and white striped wire. If that is not correct, where does it go? I'm leaving for Utah and need this radio working ASAP! Thank you

Everything is soldered and heat shrunk. And wouldn't it do that even if it wasn't moving?

Only when I am moving. And intermittently it will attempt to start up again and play for a second or two and then shut off again

I don't know what my problem was but we ended up wiring the red wire on the radio harness to the wire for illumination so all I have to do is turn on my lights for the radio to work

It's been a while since I've installed a radio but either the red or yellow wire goes to a constant 12 volt the other goes to a key on 12volt. One is usually a thicker wire (on the radio harness). The thicker one goes to constant 12 volt.

You might have tapped the wrong wire, maybe a speed sensor or something ?

Weird nonetheless
