i switched out my stock steering wheel from my 07 nbs truck to put the one the denali has with the controls. but my steering wheel controls wont work does anyone know how to fix this....my truck did not come with these in the first place...

when installing an aftermarket radio you have to get an adapter that retains steering wheel controls.....you hook normally 3-5 wires to the EXISTING factory harness when you wire the radio harness up.....this tells me the wires for the steering wheel controls are already in the factory harness, but if your truck didnt come with this from the factory they might not be there....not to mention even if they were your factory radio might not be set up to run it....

 

yeah i was going to try and switch out the head unit but do you have any pics of what wires i have to add..

 

nope not on me....i have installed two with aftermarket radios (its my job) but i didnt take any pics of either....
