quick ? on s10 gauge swap

Default quick ? on s10 gauge swap

ok my friend has a 98 s10 and his gauge cluster doesnt have a tach in it, i found one out of a 00 for sale with a tach, will this work or will there be any sort of tweaking to get it right. his truck is a 4cyl and the cluster is out of a 4cyl if that help. Thanks guys!

Mileage will be screwed up but other than that should be the same. 98 is when they chaged the interior and exterior cosmetics right I had an 02 s-10 and if I remember correctly they were basically the same back till 97 when they updated I believe.

ok thanks! yea mileage really isnt a concern, and yes it has the new interior and all, i know that if its a v6 then the tach would be off, but thought this 4 cyl on would be a safe bet, but never hurts to ask! Thanks for the help
