Default powered sub advice?

ive had all combinations you can think of in other vechicles, but i would like something very simple and compact. something to fill the noise where the stock speakers cant. its a 2005 2500 std cab work truck. looking to put this under the seat or stand it up on the back of the cab out of the way. as long as the sound is clean out of it, im fine. i just dont want to buy one and end up wishing i didnt. friend has a single 8 bazooka tube in his truck and its more than what i need, but the bazooka takes up a lil too much room, given its shape. truck box/seperate amp setup is out of the question. space is valuable. im not set on these models, but its all i can find in a box form thats self powered.

thanks.

If you're set on those two, I'd go with the sound ordinance. I've had a bunch of experience with customers bringing in boss products, and it has never been good. I personally would avoid them at all costs.

bought a bazooka 8" at pep boys today with wiring kit for only 149. going to try and install it tomorrow. uses speaker level inputs, so i am going to have to find out what color does what on my truck.

i thought you just needed a positive and a negative from one speaker tapped to the sub, but this kit has pos and neg for all 4 front and rear speakers. not sure if i can just tap one or have to do them all. the instructions are very very very basic.

way more than i needed so it sounds just right. fills the void from the factory speakers with a nice punch. it doesnt move any air, but its not a pair of 10's. good deal for space concerns. and ive ben throwing stuff on top of it everyday.
