Awe, thanks, but I can't take credit. My guys at Auto Radio Stereo here in Sacramento deserve the credit. Sadly, they aren't open anymore, but the main guy who worked on these trucks, Adam Defazio, is off doing his own thing now (mobilesoundconnection.com) and he'll be doing some additional work to the Canyon in the coming weeks.

Currently that truck is setup to run in MECA competition (Street 2 I believe) but has yet to be judged. Think the next fun thing for the interior/stereo will be a custom carbon fiber console. Adam's been dying to work with carbon fiber and he never fails to exceed every expectation I've ever had, so I'm just gonna let him have at. I've given him free reign on the truck so far, so why stop now? lol

I'm trying to schedule my new truck in now with Bing at Home since I'll be in SoCal for several months this summer. It'll be worth the wait on the audio install if he can fit my truck into his schedule.

 

Acex bad *** installs for both trucks! The system in your canyon is pretty much what ive been wanting for my nbs rcsb. Badass!

 

It's isn't without compromise (and deep pockets. Or credit cards. Big ones) in that the seats were moved forward a click or two and I have 0 storage anymore lol

It's a comfortable truck to drive. I'm 6' and one of the parameters when we built it was where I wanted the seat. And Adam always has a way of taking my ideas and one-upping them. When I brought him the equipment I gave him free reign on the Canyon and when we would talk, he would always take my ideas and add more to them. The enclosure is infact ported, but instead of running a single, large port that is easily visible, there are two smaller ports in either corner of the cab right next to the cab vents, so it hides the cab vents, you can't really see the actual port, and the doors are easy to close. the additional output is a huge bonus as we've measured the system at 143dB at full tilt. It's like nothing I've ever heard form a reg cab truck, but it has a long way to go before it's really finished. I have friends who compete in the highest levels in IASCA and MECA and the feedback I get from them makes me go through and start tweaking for hours on end. Every time I'll spend an hour or more making small changes in T/A and Eq settings to get it 'just right' just to have my friends listen, give me feedback, and do it all over again. It never ends.

Can't wait to go and redo the white truck one more time. Need to get me some new Arc Audio gear
