I'm about to pull my hair out. I own a 2005 silverado 2500 HD 6.0 LT 4x4. A month ago it lost pill pressure and I diagnosed it down to the 3rd cam bearing. So I broke it down and pulled it apart, had the block remachined and new bearings installed and I reworked the heads and rebuilt the motor. Put the motor back in the truck and it took a minute to get it started because of the air in the fuel lines, well, I let it idle for around 30 minutes an blead the cooling system and it was running like a sewing machine, perfect, quiet, the whole nine. But.... When I got in it an put it in gear it died, and it hasn't started since and has no spark. I re checked all my ground and even put gm dielectric grease on all of them. Checked the crank sensor and eliminated that, checked voltage supply to the 2 main coil harnesses, got voltage. But it still has no spark. It will no crank for nothing. It has me seriously confused and I've been a master tech for 8 years specializing in GM. But I still can't figure this out. The truck is financed and it won't start or run and I've still got to pay payments. Can't work without my truck. Any help would be seriously appreciated. Thanks!

 

i know the ground in the front right of the engine is the one that if not getting a good connection will do that.. try to ground it to the battery and see if that makes a differance
