Default People with So-Cal gauge mounts

Ok so i got the so cal upper ocnsole gauge mount. The piece is nice. I took out the pocket in my console and popped in the mount to see how it fit, it seems like it sticks out too much is that just me? Also how have you guys mounted it to keep it from coming out?

Mine sticks out a little bit. It's just an interference fit...there's nothing to keep it from falling out but it's tight enough that it won't fall out. I've even tried to pull mine out from the front and haven't been able to do it.

looks like the same mount to me. with mine it fit nicely, i was unsure of how it "mounted" and it fell out a couple times, so i went ahead and put a couple drops of gasket maker on it so it stayed in.
notice that it doesnt sit at an angle like the other ones do, but i still think it looks great..plus it works the best.
