Default off the wall weird **** happening, electrical

i've been working on an 01 tahoe. heads, cam, 90mm intake, 90mm tb and long tube headers.

the issue i'm having is that randomly i get the batt light, airbag light, seat belt light, security, service ride control, and gas gauge goes to empty and i get the gas light. i have no clue as to WTF is going on. i tightened the batter cables no joy. and its random. it happen this morning and i shut it off at a light and it wouldn't go away. the vole meter reads about 16 volts. the big notch between 14 and 18 IIRC. at one point i had to slam the pedal down to go around somebody and right after i let off everything went off. everything being all the weird **** that was on. oh and the litle box that lights up around which gear is selected goes out during this too. also if i'm data logging it stops data logging too. it kinda acts like you turned the key off and back on to run but the truck still runs.

Sounds like a PCM mishap. Check all the grounds, and check the tune....

the tune should be good. i may rewrite it to the pcm and see if that makes a change. come to think of it the two times it happened to me was both early morning on my way home from work after i had written a tune. but when it happen to my wife she drove it after the tune write just fine but when she left where she went is when it happen to her. maybe it is writing wrong for some dumb reason. i think both times the damn auto ride crap started pumping during the write. that auto ride is anoying as **** i'm glad mine doesn't have it.

Try pulling the fuse for the autoride system before tuning. maybe its spiking voltage when it starts pumping while your trying to write the tune. Also check connections and grounds to the PCM as well as the connections to your PCM port.

Thanks guys. I'll try some of those ideas. I've been working on my tahoe for once today. Found out it's a mother to put headrest screens in the middle row. The head rest slides on the pole instead of fixed to the pole. But I think I figured it out.
