Default non-signal mirrors to signal mirrors 2008 Sierra

i just picked up an '08 GMC Sierra SLE and it did not come with turn signals in the mirrors. i am hoping its easy to add them? Since they're power mirrors would the turn signal wires already be there just not connected or am i going to have to run wires and tap into the turn signals somehow? also, where is a good place to get the signal mirrors?

easiest way would be to buy a set off take power fold (dl3) mirrors . i mean the whole mirror and housing assembly. then simply replace your dl8 with the dl3 mirrors. the plug to the power fold (dl3) mirrors will plug right into your window switch. youlll have one extra plug wich will be for the power fold. the signals will work but not the power fold since your window switch doesnt have the extra slot for that plug. thats what i did.

imo its much easier than buying the muth kit and having to wire and tap for the signals to work. And almost the same price. i bought my take offs for 200. iirc the muth kits were 250ish.

i bought them off a member on gmfs about 2 yrs ago.
i dont have any pics but its fairly simple to switch out the whole housing/mirror. just remove the door panel and the 3 bolts that are under the little triangle on the top right of the door panel. unplug wire and do the reverse in the install. there is a write up on handle install on gmfs and the first few steps if how to go about removing the door panel.

see if this guy still has his for sale 225+shipping OBO. and simply switch out the mirror caps when you install them. then try to sell the victory red caps to recoup some money.
