Just installed an Alpine in dash CDA-7894 model with Mp3 decoder. I didnt change the factory speakers. I am really impressed with how good this unit makes the factory speakers sound. Yes the factory dropped the ball on the stereo in our trucks, but the head unit upgrade was really worth it. My first Alpine too, extremely nice unit, I won't ever buy another brand.

and had another alpine in my old 89 jimmy
the quality is outstanding. they really do make the stock speakers sound pretty good.
