Default need help picking all new system

needing some helpful input on a complete new system for my truck , new head unit, new components, new rear speakers, new subs , new amps.

my current setup is JVC Kameleon head unit, kicker 6.5 components, Hifonics 6x8 rear speakers (cut the 4x6 hole to fit 6x8's) MA audio 12, Power Acoustiks 4000 watt amp for sub. have 14 ga wire from head unit to components and 6x8s. as you see I have complete different brands everywhere haha. the components and 6x8s are ran off the head unit. I dont like how ANY of it sounds. so looking for helpful advice on what brands, set up to go with. looking at $200 for new components ( or should I run a amp to these?) $200 for 6x8's, $450-$500 for new subs , wanting to go back with 2 12's since my box is built for that. and $500 for amps. these prices are AT MOST . of course if theres cheaper stuff thats good sound quality Id like that. Ive been looking at Image Dynamics 12's but have no clue if theyre good. NEEDING HELP!!!

Check out Sundown Audio. They have some 8's that are really unbelievable...but they are 8's.

going with what 86SWB said the new sundown audio not just 8's but 10's and 12's are all amazing subs, i have alot of friends going with them now.
now image dynamics i cant really speak for because i have never heard any in person but i have head alot of good things about them.
Diamond audio i have heard and they do sound amazing

when i redid all of my system about two years ago i went with all db drive audio components and i absolutely love them, they get loud and sound super clean just powered by my head unit.
so that would be my suggestion if your looking into getting new components, but the list you have above is all very good audio equipment.

JL fan for life here, but a lot of haters on it because of price. I have had numerous systems and audio components and never once disappointed...

Image Dynamics products are freaking sick. I've ran them, and I love them. A Sundown amp on a set of ID components and an SAZ on a ID sub would be a good start. I could go on for days about audio. Check out CDT's components, too. They're nice. Focal, Rainbow, and JL's evolutions are impressive also. RE, FI, Focal, ID, and Sundown all make great subs. But yeah, make sure you get an amp to the coaxils/components, rather than run them off the h.u. If you want to save your cash, though, you could just do an amp on the Kicker's you've already got, scrap the Power Acoustik, and get a good sub/amp combo (I'd ditch the two 12's idea), in the proper airspace and just keep it a very simple passive setup. You can definitely do it for cheaper than what you've got planned.

You're welcome, Daniel.

I run 4 1", 4 12", and 4 6 1/2" Polk audios with three total Polk audio amps in my show truck with a jvc head unit and I love it man...sounds so clear and the head unit is easy to operate! I also run Polk audio mids and hi's in my dd and they are real clear...but I'm running kicker subs and amp with a pioneer head unit.
I say go with Polk audio all the way through...fair pricing and sleek look IMHO

yeah, the DB drive stuff sounds great. i installed one of the DB drive 12s in my brothers old integra and it sounded amazing. it hit hard and clean and minimal cone flex too.

Sonicelectronix.com, thug homie. Do the typical single ported 12" with a decent amp, and amp some CDT components. You can do that for the cheap cheap. Hell, I can't believe I'm saying this, but you can get a two 12"s truck box off of there, get two SVC 2 ohm Kicker CVT subs, and do a Hifonics 1500.1 amp on those. Then get a good set of components, or just amp the ones you've got now. You can do that for under $500 easy. Honestly done that combo on four or five trucks, and they're all still kicking. Not the TOP quality, and Hifonics has gone down, but it will work and I think you will be satisfied.
