the base of the box is 44" long x 13" wide x 12 3/4" high(on the back wall)....as for the sides and top we just kinda made it up as we went.

we cut a piece of wood 44" long x 16" high and started sketching the way we wanted to side to slope downward.

once we had one side made like we want it then we traced it on another piece of wood to make the other side.

from there we cut the rings to mount the subs to and positioned them where we wanted them and stapled them to the sides of the the box.

next we stretched the fleece over the top and stapled it tight, from there it was resin, hardener, and hatch to make the fiberglass top.

we decided to cover it in carpet bc it is my dd and i figured i would scratch the paint up and paint will eventually crack on fiberglass....

we made two more rings like what we mounted the subs to and covered them in white vinal for looks....

that is the long and the short of it, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.....also if you want some more pics just let me know specificaly what part of the center you want and i will get them to ya....

Trying to get a idea of how far forward the console is and how far back it goes as well. Maybe some front and back shots would work out for it?
Also does the width affect your seats any?
The factory consoles are only like 10 inches wide so i'm wondering if the extra makes the seats side bolstures"sp" buldge any and affect the feel of the seat any?
Another thing is how is it mounted in the cab?
Is it bolted down or something of the like?
I want to do one but i want to do something that i can remove for track reasons ya know.
Thanks for the help mang.

i will get some pics of front a back for ya....it is all the way to the back wall...

the only thing i have it held down with is its own weight, so unhook the two speaker wire from the amp and you can remove the box, with out removing the seat, in about 1 minute.....

it doesnt effect the seats any bc we mesured between them and 13" was a far as we could go, i will get some pics of this too....

i should be able to get pics by tomorrow.....

this is the space between the upper and lower sections of the seat(doesnt press against the seat at any point)

Sweet deal. One more question....how did you do the front nose build on the box?
You have the bottom then the sides i guess tappered down to a point. Then you did what with the top part?
Cut it the distance then used a jig to round it?
Or did you get the roundness with the glass?

the sides tapper down to a point on each side of the box about 5" or so from the end.....we actually got the idea of rounding the front when we saw the outside piece of the jig we used to cut the two rings for the subs. it was broken in half bc we had thrown it twords the trash can, we thought using the same round shape we used on the subs would be a good way to tie in the end of the box.....so we put half the sub ring jig on the floor of the box, traced it, then cut it with a jig saw. the rest of the shape is just how the glass turned out after we wrapped the fleece around the end tight......hope this helps.

Very much!!! Any idea on what the cubic airspace of your box is? I'm trying to decide on what i'm goin to end up putting in the center box right now.

we figured around 2ft^3 of air space before the subs so probably around .9ft^3 per sub.....we could have done 1ft^3 per sub if we carried the sides all the way to the end but i wanted it to flow nicely to a point and plus i have an amp that is about 400w RMS more than the subs need so that will make up for a little less air space....you could also take the box all the way to the dash if you need more than 2ft^3 for the subs you want to run....

let me know what you do, i am anxious to see how yours turns out.... i will help all i can
