Exclamation my 02 dodge dakota

i have an 02 dodge dakota w/ a 4.7L auto 4x4 and my buddy installed an aftermarket cd player in it. but now my damn dash lights dont work. everything else does but they don't. winters comming and i need to get it fixed asap. any help would be greatly appreciated. my email is whiteknight91rs@yahoo.com thanks in advance for any help/ videos.

i already posted this in the dodge forum but there doesnt seem to be anything over there so i thought maby somebody here could help me out?

It sounds like he could have blown a fuse with by not properly terminating your illumination wire. I'd say pull the radio, and check that the orange, and orange/white wires have the ends covered with a butt connector/crimp cap, or anything that can keep them from shorting to metal. The will rest at ground which is fine, but when you turn the lights on they put out 12v signal, so if they're touch metal that will blow a fuse for you dash lights.
