Ok guys see if anyone can help me out I have a 2003 silverado, the deck wont take any cds. So I went and bought a used one from one of my friends and when I put it in it plays for bout a second then LOCK displays on the deck, is there any way to reprogram it. Any help would be apperciated thanks guys.

 

the 03 and newer ones you have to take to the dealer to get done. i had to get one done and it was about 40 dollars.

yep, it's locked to the VIN, 03+ radios are class II databus connected... sucks for compatibility stuff.

 

Isnt There A Way To Punch In A Series Of Numbers To Get The Code....then More Numbers To Get It Unlocked......

Or Is It Different From The 99-02 Radios?

 

Not on 03 up they read the vin from the bcm.
