I'm still running a 105 alt with no problems.

A few people were having these problems. I remember responding to some threads in the past. FWIW I have the stock 105 amp alternator, with a self built harness, using 30/40 amp bosch relays, and have never had a problem. I did have some problems with some different 30/40 amp relays though, thats why I only use the bosch relays on the harnesses I was selling.

My first thought is that it's a relay problem as well, unfortunetly I couldn't find the bosch 30/40 relays.

I'm thinking either bosch or hella relays ought to do the trick, thoughts?

or do as I'm gonna do when I build my harness.....use the relays out of the trucks and wire the fans in the exact way GM did for the trucks. No, there is not a connector available for the relays, but some crimp on ends and shrink wrap will clean it all up nicely. GM isnt having any problems with the fans......why are we?
